Sensex rises by 123.14 points to 82,515.14

Mumbai, June 11 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Wednesday recovered by 123.14 points to settle firm at 82,515.14, tracking gains in other Asian peers amid signs of progress in trade negotiations between the US and its key partners like India and China.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) also advanced by 37.15 points to 25,141.40
The Sensex recorded the day's high at 82,783.51 and low at 82,306.91 points, while the NSE registered the day's high at 25,222.00 and low at 25,081.50 points during the day.
The Mid-cap declined by 0.12 percent whereas the Small-cap inched up by 0.06 pc.
The market breadth was positive, as 2,242 shares rose and 1,810 shares fell while a total of 128 shares remained unchanged on the BSE.
In Sectoral indices, Oil & gas (by 1.83 pc), Energy (by 1.33 pc), IT (by 1.25 pc), Tech (by 1.01 pc), Realty (by 0.14 pc), Metal (by 0.08 pc), Auto (by 0.19 pc), Telecom (by 0.18 pc) and Health Care (by 0.74 pc) rose today.
On other hand, FMCG (by 0.56 pc), Financial (by 0.34 pc), Industrial (by 0.43 pc), Utilities (by 0.76 pc), Bankex (by 0.28 pc), Capital Goods (by 0.42 pc), Consumer Durables (by 0.19 pc) and Power (by 0.81 pc) fell.
Among 30 scrips,16 advanced while 14 declined.
Top five gainers were HCL Tech (by 3.13 pc to Rs 1,720.20), Infosys (by 2.16 pc to Rs 1,630.70), Tech Mahindra (by 1.74 pc to Rs 1,448.75), Reliance (by 0.71 pc to Rs 1,448.75) and Bajaj Finserve (by 0.70 pc to Rs 2,012.40).
Top five losers were Power Grid (by 1.89 pc to Rs 295.45), Indus Bank (by 1.10 pc to Rs 837.00), Adani Ports (by 1.00 pc to Rs 1,459.60), Nestle India (by 0.93 pc to Rs 2,408.95) and HDFC Bank (by 0.83 pc to Rs 1,949.60).
The Asian markets ended higher as Nikkei was up by 0.55 pc, Kospi by 1.23 pc and Shanghai by 0.52 pc.
The European markets such as FTSE by 0.21 pc and Dax by 0.20 pc opened higher on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, on Wall Street, the mood was upbeat. The Dow ticked up 0.25 pc, the S&P 500 climbed 0.55 pc and the Nasdaq added 0.63 pc.
