1,135 Singareni workers to be regularised as General Assistants

Hyderabad, Nov 6 (UNI) The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has issued orders for regularisation of 1,135 Badli Workers and General Assistant Trainees as General Assistants, fulfilling the assurance given by Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Bhatti Vikramarka.
The regularisation will come into effect from September 1, 2026, benefiting workers who have been waiting for two to three years or more, the Mining company said in a release on Friday.
The decision covers workers who joined the company on or before December 31, 2025, and completed at least 190 working days in underground departments or 240 working days in opencast mines or outside departments during any calendar year up to December 31, 2025.
Following directions from SCCL Chairman and Managing Director Buddhaprakash Jyoti, the General Manager (Personnel) has issued a circular directing Area General Managers to submit lists of eligible workers by November 23. Those fulfilling the prescribed criteria will be regularised with effect from September 1, the release said.
The management said the regularisation process was being taken up periodically under the present government, unlike in the past when workers had to wait for long periods to receive similar benefits.
Bhatti Vikramarka congratulated the workers and said the people's government was fulfilling its assurances to Singareni employees.
He urged them to maintain discipline, attend duties regularly and contribute to the company's development and expansion.
SCCL CMD Buddhaprakash Jyoti also stressed the importance of regular attendance and discipline, stating that they would improve production and productivity while creating opportunities for regularisation, internal promotions and career advancement.
Unauthorised absence could jeopardise employment opportunities, he cautioned.

New Delhi, Nov 6 (UNI) India's automobile retail sales declined 23.8 per cent year-on-year to around 31.72 lakh units in October 2026, largely due to an unfavourable festive-season calendar and a high base of comparison, according to data released by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA). The decline was led by a sharp contraction in two-wheeler sales, while passenger vehicle registrations also remained lower than the year-ago period.
