Mumbai, Oct 12 (UNI) Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) has executed 645 MW of utility-scale renewable energy projects in the first half of the current financial year, including 419 MW in the July-September quarter, marking a growth of over 130 per cent year-on-year.
The company also executed 161.2 MWhr of energy storage projects during the first half of FY27, including 101.2 MWhr for its own operations and 60 MWhr for third-party customers.
TPREL's utility-scale project execution in the second quarter was significantly higher than the 182 MW recorded during the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
Among the key projects commissioned during the first half were the 100.8 MW Jewali Wind Project, the Kalasar Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project with 227.5 MW of solar capacity and a 101.2 MWhr Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), the 100 MW Kayathar Group Captive Project and the 72.5 MW Tata Steel Captive Project.

Building on the performance in the first half, TPREL plans to execute more than 2 GW of renewable energy projects in the second half of FY27. The planned execution includes 1,075 MW of solar projects, 969 MW of wind projects and 274 MWhr of battery storage capacity. An additional 300 MW of third-party projects are also scheduled for execution during the period.
By the end of FY27, the company expects to have executed projects with a cumulative capacity of nearly 9.3 GW, comprising 6,899 MW of solar power, 2,298 MW of wind power and 555.2 MWhr of battery storage capacity.
The company said its execution performance reflected its focus on operational efficiency, safety and quality, supported by a strong supply chain, experienced partners and project management capabilities.
TPREL, a subsidiary of Tata Power Company Limited, is expanding its renewable energy portfolio as India steps up efforts to increase clean energy generation and strengthen energy security.
The company has also indicated further project execution plans for FY28, but the available information on the proposed capacity additions for that year is incomplete.
