Third Wave Coffee expands footprint across India, deepens presence in UP

Lucknow, Sep 24 (UNI) Third Wave Coffee on Thursday launched its 250th café in the City of Nawabs, Lucknow, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s national expansion journey.
The company has opened two cafés in Lucknow, including its 250th outlet in Hazratganj and a second café in Gomti Nagar, marking its entry into the city.
Bengaluru-based Third Wave Coffee reported an annual revenue of Rs 550 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2026.
The new cafés take Third Wave Coffee’s North India footprint to 72 cafés, reinforcing its presence across key markets while supporting its continued growth in both established and emerging cities.
The Lucknow launch follows a series of recent expansions across markets including Agra, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, Jalandhar and Ludhiana, among other key cities. The company continues to strengthen its presence across high-potential locations, supported by its focus on accessible specialty coffee, product innovation and contemporary café spaces designed around evolving consumer preferences.
Speaking on the launch, Rajat Luthra, CEO, Third Wave Coffee, said, “Reaching 250 cafés is an important milestone for Third Wave Coffee and a moment to reflect on the journey we have taken to get here. Over the years, we have expanded across markets, built a strong café network, and continued to evolve with our consumers. Lucknow stood out for its budding café culture and the anticipation we have seen from consumers, making it a natural market to mark this milestone. As we look ahead, our focus will remain on scaling thoughtfully, strengthening our presence across the country, and building on the momentum we have created so far.”
Hazratganj was selected for the brand’s first café in Lucknow due to its established position as a prominent retail, dining and social destination in the city. The café is designed to cater to a diverse audience, including young consumers, professionals, students, families and coffee enthusiasts. Its offerings include specialty single-origin coffees, signature beverages, artisanal bakes, quick bites and curated food options.
With plans to expand its network to approximately 320 cafés by FY27, Third Wave Coffee continues to grow its presence across metros, Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, reaching more coffee lovers across the country.
