Nitish inaugurates bag manufacturing unit in Muzaffarpur

Patna, June 14 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated a new industrial unit (Cosmas Lifestyle Pvt. Ltd.) for manufacturing high-quality bags in Bela Industrial Area of Muzaffarpur.
After inaugurating the unit under the Bihar Textile and Leather Policy 2022 on Saturday, Kumar said that the government was promoting investment for setting up industrial units across the state, for which the Industrial Investment Promotion Policy has been framed keeping in mind the convenience of the investors.
He said the bag manufacturing unit inaugurated during the day has employed several local people. The unit was manufacturing high-quality bags.
The minister said that his government was providing various facilities to the youth for their employment.
Kumar said that the industrial unit (Cosmas Life Style Pvt. Ltd.) was manufacturing high-quality, low-cost bags and related accessories. About 1200 people were getting employment opportunities in this industrial unit, out of which 40 percent are women.
A total of 5 acres of land has been made available to this industrial unit under the Bihar Textile and Leather Policy, 2022, on which a plant has been set up by investing Rs 37 crore.
