CBI arrests KV Sasaram principal for demanding and accepting bribe

Patna, May 21 (UNI) Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested the Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Sasaram, Bihar, for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 32,000 from a complainant.
CBI sources said here on Wednesday that a case was registered on allegations that the accused demanded a bribe of Rs. 32,000 from the complainant, proprietor of a private enterprise which is a registered GEM supplier, for releasing his pending bill of Rs. 1.92 Lakh.
(GEM is the National Public Procurement Portal; an end-to-end online Marketplace for Central and State Government Ministries / Departments)
CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 32,000 from the complainant. Subsequently, the CBI arrested the accused and will produce him before the CBI Court on Thursday.
