Odisha Cabinet approves Artificial Intelligence Policy 2025

Bhubaneswar, May 28 (UNI) The Odisha Cabinet on Wednesday night approved the Odisha Artificial Intelligence Policy 2025.
Briefing newspersons after the meeting, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja said it would be a significant milestone in the state’s journey toward harnessing the transformative potential of artificial intelligence to improve governance, stimulate innovation, enhance data‑driven decision‑making, and enable inclusive socio‑economic development.
The policy, part of Odisha’s broader digital‑transformation agenda, aims to embed AI across sectors by promoting responsible, secure, and scalable adoption of AI technologies.

Flood ravages life in Manipur, over 3300 villages inundated

Imphal, June 1 (UNI ) Heavy rainfall continues to lash Manipur as over 3300 villages have been completely inundated by flood. Thousands of families have been spending without electricity and basic amenities, and large numbers of people have been evacuated to safe places. Heart-wrenching scenes were seen as women, children and aged were taking shelter on the rooftops and safe places. Hundreds of volunteers , Assam Rifles , NDRF , SDRF , Arambai Tengol members Fire Brigade slogged braving through rain and heavy water to safely evacuate people.

Manipur Congress Chief lambasts BJP government for flood mismanagement

Imphal, June 1 (UNI) Manipur Congress President Keisham Meghachandra Singh visited flood-affected areas of Heingang Assembly Constituency in Imphal East District, which is the constituency of former Chief Minister N Biren Singh, on Sunday.
K. Meghachandra said the Water Resources Department, Manipur, failed to control floods in various vulnerable areas of river banks of different rivers in Manipur. He said that residential and agricultural areas were already submerged by overflowing water from breach of river banks and overflow of rivers. He said that breach of river banks and overflow of rivers were due to incomplete construction of various retaining walls.
