CBI arrests Aizawl man for sexually assaulting minor, circulating child abuse content

Aizawl, June 11 (UNI) In a deeply disturbing case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a man from Aizawl, Mizoram, for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor and for the possession and distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
The arrest was made on June 9 following an investigation initiated by the CBI without any prior complaint from the victim or family.
According to a statement issued by the CBI, the case was registered on May 30 against the accused, Lalrampana, on grave charges related to the creation, collection, storage, and dissemination of sexually explicit material involving children. He was also reportedly in possession of a large quantity of pornographic content depicting minors, in direct violation of Indian laws protecting children from sexual exploitation.
