Odisha achieves zero-casualty target amid Cyclone Arnab: CM Majhi

Bhubaneswar, Oct 28 (UNI) Odisha has achieved its zero-casualty target during Cyclone Arnab, with no loss of life reported so far, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said on Wednesday, expressing satisfaction over the state’s preparedness and coordinated response to the cyclone.
The Chief Minister made the statement after reviewing the cyclone situation and the ongoing response operations at the Special Relief Commissioner’s (SRC) control room in Bhubaneswar. He said the state government and district administrations had taken comprehensive precautionary measures to minimise the impact of the cyclone and safeguard lives.
During the review meeting, Majhi assessed the cyclone’s progress, its impact on different parts of the state, rainfall patterns and the preparedness of relief shelters. He also spoke over the phone with deputy chief ministers and ministers assigned to supervise relief and response operations in various districts.
