Odisha plants over 47 lakh saplings in single-day plantation drive

Bhubaneswar, Sep 26 (UNI) Odisha planted more than 47 lakh saplings across the State in a single day under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 3.0’ plantation drive, organised as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan–2026 on Saturday.
The State-wide campaign witnessed participation from all districts and Gram Panchayats, bringing communities together for a collective effort to promote environmental protection and create a greener and healthier Odisha.
The single-day plantation drive surpassed last year’s achievement of 37 lakh saplings, marking a significant increase in the scale of the campaign. The plantation was carried out at more than 14,000 sites across the State, highlighting the extensive grassroots mobilisation.
