Itanagar, Nov 7 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) KT Parnaik has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the eve of Diwali, wishing them peace, prosperity, happiness and harmony.
In his message, the Governor said Diwali symbolises the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance.
He said the festival inspires people to embrace compassion, kindness and righteousness while strengthening unity, mutual respect and brotherhood among communities.
He also urged people to brighten the lives of those in need through generosity and selfless service.
Calling for an environmentally responsible celebration, Parnaik appealed to citizens to observe a clean, green and pollution-free Diwali in keeping with Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) and the Nationwide Green Diwali Campaign 2026, under the theme “Say No to Crackers, Yes to Clean Air”.
