JIADA approves new industrial projects in Jharkhand

Ranchi, Oct 23 (UNI) The Jharkhand Industrial Area Development Authority (JIADA) has approved applications for new industrial projects in Hazaribagh, Ramgarh and industrial areas of Tupudana, Tatisilwai and Kokar, following a meeting of its Project Clearance Committee here on Friday.
The meeting was chaired by JIADA Managing Director Varun Ranjan and attended by Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) president Tulsi Patel.
The approved proposals include a software technology park, khadi-based natural organic paint manufacturing, printing job work, a hospital and projects related to the storage of raw materials for steel plants.
Patel said the projects would boost industrial activity in the state and create new employment opportunities locally.
He also expressed concern over some previously approved projects whose proponents had not received possession of allotted land, urging the authority to expedite action on such cases.
Patel further called for the establishment of industrial areas in Chatra, Garhwa and Latehar districts, citing their potential for industrial development.
He said such facilities would support regional growth, generate employment for local youth and provide fresh impetus to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
He appreciated Jiada's efforts to promote industrial development and investment in the state and stressed the need to improve infrastructure and facilities in industrial areas to accelerate economic activity.
Jiada officials, representatives of the Jharkhand Small Industries Association (JASIA) and officials from various departments attended the meeting.
