BJP seeks Jharkhand health minister’s resignation over healthcare issues

Ranchi, Oct 16 (UNI) The BJP on Friday demanded the resignation of Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari, alleging that the state’s healthcare system was in disarray and accusing him of focusing on making social media reels while patients and healthcare workers faced difficulties.
BJP state spokesperson Ramakant Mahato raised concerns over pending honorariums of 108 ambulance service workers and the demands of doctors, urging the government to address their grievances and ensure uninterrupted medical services.
Mahato said around 2,000 drivers and emergency medical technicians associated with the 108 ambulance service had alleged that their honorariums had not been paid since July 2026. The service operates around 500 ambulances in the state, he said.
