Naveen Patnaik seeks clarity from Odisha CM on Andhra’s plan to hold polls in Kotia

Bhubaneswar, Oct 19 (UNI) Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik on Monday sought a clear stand from Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Andhra Pradesh’s reported move to hold elections in the disputed Kotia region, questioning whether the BJP government was compromising the state’s territorial integrity due to its political dependence on the Centre.
In a letter to Majhi, Patnaik expressed deep concern over the Telugu Desam Party (TDP)-led government in Andhra Pradesh announcing plans to conduct elections in Kotia, triggering widespread reactions across Odisha.
