Bengal: Humayun Kabir appears before police, released after 4 hours

Kolkata, Sep 21 (UNI) Nowda MLA and founder of the Aam Janata Unnayan Party (AJUP), Humayun Kabir, appeared before the police at Berhampore police station on Monday in connection with a controversial audio clip in which he has allegedly made provocative remarks.
Kabir reached the police station before the scheduled reporting time of 11 am and remained there for around four-and-a-half hours. He must reappear at the Berhampore police station on September 23 at around 11:00 am, a police source said.
He assured the investigating officers of his full cooperation, but used his interaction with the media outside the police station to launch a sharp attack on the administration and the ruling party.
