ECoR felicitates three employees for exemplary dedication, alertness

Bhubaneswar, June 23 (UNI) East Coast Railway (ECoR) General Manager Parmeshwar Funkwal
on Monday felicitated three railway employees for their exemplary service, dedication, and alertness while on duty.
Recognising their outstanding commitment and vigilance, Funkwal honoured Uttam Kumar, Station Manager at Lakshmipur; Podilapu Gowri Sankar, Senior Goods Train Manager at Simhachalam North; and Manoj Kumar Hansdah, Track Maintainer-III at Rahama.
The three employees were applauded for their quick thinking and proactive actions, which ensured the smooth and safe operation of train services under their watch.
Their alert responses during routine duties not only prevented potential operational disruptions but also reinforced high safety standards, the ECoR General Manager said.
While presenting the awards, Funkwal praised their commitment and highlighted the critical role played by railway personnel in the field.
“Our frontline staff — including Track Maintainers, Loco Pilots, Technicians, and Station Managers — are the backbone of our daily operations,” the EcoR General Manager said, adding that their vigilance and dedication keep the railway network running efficiently and safely.
