Odisha: Railways set up help desk at Berhampur

Berhampur, Oct 29 (UNI) The East Coast Railway’s Khurda Road Division has set up a Passenger Assistance Help Desk at Brahmapur station to assist passengers affected by train disruptions caused by severe waterlogging and rising water levels between Ichapuram and Sompeta stations in Odisha.
Several trains have been cancelled, diverted or short-terminated after water levels on the affected stretch rose above the danger mark, disrupting rail services. Railway authorities have also arranged food for passengers stranded at Surla Road station.
The help desk at Brahmapur is providing updates on train operations and assisting passengers in planning their onward journeys. Passengers have been advised to check with railway officials before travelling.
