115 arrested, Rs. 11.7 crore goods seized by BSF Meghalaya Frontier

Shillong, Apr 24 (UNI) The Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya Frontier has marked a series of significant achievements in the first quarter of 2025, reinforcing its role in safeguarding the India-Bangladesh border and intensifying efforts against cross-border crimes, a BSF official said on Thursday.
The BSF troopers thwarted numerous infiltration attempts and apprehended a total of 115 individuals involved in illegal cross-border activities — comprising 78 Bangladeshi nationals and 37 Indian nationals.
In addition, six touts allegedly responsible for facilitating these illegal movements were also taken into custody, enabling coordinated follow-up actions by police and other enforcement agencies
