The sea along the south Odisha coast and adjoining areas of the northwest Bay of Bengal is likely to remain rough to very rough from Monday evening until Tuesday morning. Rough sea conditions are expected to persist until Tuesday evening, after which the situation is likely to improve.
The IMD has advised fishermen not to venture into the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining sea areas along the south Odisha coast from Monday evening until Wednesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, severe cyclonic storm Murasu, over the west-central and adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal, moved northwestwards at 22 kmph during the past six hours and lay centred about 160 km east-southeast of Nellore in Andhra Pradesh at 8.30 am on Monday.
