Rajat Kapoor reportedly joins Akshay Kumar’s sci-fi thriller ‘Samuk’

Mumbai, Sep 18 (UNI) Rajat Kapoor is reportedly set to become part of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming science-fiction action thriller "Samuk", with the actor-filmmaker said to be taking on a significant role in the project.
Directed by Kanishk Varma, the film is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah under his banner Sunshine Pictures, with Ashwin A. Shah co-producing it. Shooting is currently underway in the UK.
"Samuk" is being produced on a grand scale. The film will combine science fiction with action and survival adventure. However, the producers have not yet shared details about the story and characters.
Kapoor is known for his effortless and impressive acting. He has played diverse roles in films such as "Monsoon Wedding," "Bheja Fry," "Kapoor & Sons," "Mulk," "Drishyam 2," and "Gehriyaan." He has also appeared in "Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders" and "Main Wapas Aaunga."
The film marks the return of Kumar and Shah after 13 years. The project has been in development for over two years and is being extensively prepared for its theatrical release.
