Salman's Sikandar and Prithviraj Sukumaran's L2: Empuraan to lock horns at the box office

Mumbai, Mar 26 (UNI) The box office battlefield is heating up as Bollywood Dabangg star Salman Khan's action-packed spectacle "Sikandar" and South Indian superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran's "L2: Empuraan" are both set to release on March 30, coinciding with Eid celebrations.
Helmed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, "Sikandar" is touted to be an adrenaline fueled action thriller, with Salman Khan stepping into a larger-than-life role that promises to captivate his massive fanbase.
Meanwhile, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Mohanlal's sequel, "L2: Empuraan", follows up on the monumental success of Lucifer, a film that revolutionized Malayalam cinema.
Despite the upcoming box office showdown, Prithviraj Sukumaran recently praised Salman Khan and "Sikandar" at a press event for "L2: Empuraan". He remarked, “And as usual, he is coming on Eid with this banger of a commercial flick with AR Murugadoss sir. I wish the team the absolute best. I hope the film goes on to become a blockbuster. I will have no complaints if you watch 11 am 'Sikandar' and 1 pm 'Empuraan.'”
