Delhi Education Minister Sood meets PG owners, says regulatory framework will be out soon

New Delhi, Oct 5 (UNI) A month after the Satya Niketan PG building collapse in which seven people, mostly students, were killed, Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood on Monday held a crucial stakeholder meeting with Paying Guest owners, operators and managers, and reiterated the state government's commitment to creating a safe, transparent, and structured accommodation system for students across the national capital.
The minister said that the Delhi government aims to introduce the finalized regulatory framework and guidelines within the coming weeks to safeguard the interests of over six lakh migrating students.
The meeting was part of the efforts underway to formulate a comprehensive PG regulatory policy in the national capital to ensure welfare, safety and security of the students.
