Defence Accounts Department normalises all 1.45 lakh discrepant Air Force, Navy pension cases on SPARSH

New Delhi, Sep 15 (UNI) The Defence Accounts Department (DAD) has achieved 100 per cent normalisation of all discrepant pension cases pertaining to the Indian Air Force and Indian Navy on the SPARSH (System for Pension Administration – Raksha) pension platform, resolving a total of 1,45,182 cases, the Ministry of Defence said on Tuesday.
According to the Defence Ministry, the achievement was recorded as part of a special mission-mode drive involving close monitoring, focused examination of cases and coordinated action by the concerned offices.
Of the total cases resolved, 1,12,638 pertained to the Indian Air Force, while 32,544 cases related to the Indian Navy.
Both services have now achieved 100 per cent normalisation of their discrepant pension cases on SPARSH.
The DAD has also made significant progress in clearing discrepant pension cases relating to the Indian Army.
Of the 3,94,779 discrepant Army pension cases, 3,90,336 cases, or 98.8 per cent, have already been normalised on the SPARSH platform.
The Defence Ministry said the exercise reflected the DAD's "dedication, coordinated efforts and result-oriented approach" towards strengthening the SPARSH pension ecosystem.
The initiative has been driven particularly by the Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA) and the Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Pension) [PCDA (Pension)], with focused efforts aimed at resolving discrepancies and ensuring smoother pension administration for defence pensioners.
With the Air Force and Navy cases now fully normalised and the Army cases nearing completion, the department is moving towards resolving the remaining discrepancies and further streamlining pension services through SPARSH.
