Rekha Gupta joins ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’ marking PM Modi’s 25 years in public life

New Delhi, Oct 7 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday joined the ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’ organised to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing 25 years in public life, and marched with the ceremonial torch at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium.
The yatra for the Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency was flagged off by BJP national president Nitin Nabin, with a large number of party workers and citizens participating in the programme.
Gupta said the Prime Minister’s completion of 25 years in public life was an important occasion, describing his journey as one centred on public service and commitment to the nation.
She said Modi had made the “nation first” approach a central theme of his public life and referred to initiatives in areas including public welfare, infrastructure, digital transformation, governance and national interest.
“The completion of 25 years of continuous public service and commitment to the nation is a matter of pride for all of us,” Gupta said.
She said the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’ was being pursued through the collective participation of citizens across the country.
“India is moving towards realising the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ with the participation of 140 crore Indians,” the Chief Minister said, adding that Delhi was simultaneously working towards the goal of a ‘Viksit Delhi’.
Gupta also extended her wishes for Modi’s continued health and long life, saying the country’s development journey and public service should continue uninterrupted.
She stressed that participation by citizens was essential to achieving the objective of a developed India.
The event was attended by union Minister of State and Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra, Delhi government Cabinet ministers, MPs, MLAs, party office-bearers and BJP workers.
