PM lauds youth-led digital progress in India in 11 yrs

New Delhi, June 12 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday that his government in the last 11 years has brought innumerable benefits for people by leveraging the power of technology with young innovators playing a crucial role in driving India’s self-reliance in the sector.

The prime minister said the use of technology has greatly boosted service delivery and transparency. Furthermore, technology has become a means of empowering the lives of the poorest of poor, he added.

He also praised the Digital India initiative for enabling youth to harness innovation and strengthen India’s position as a global tech leader. “Over the past 11 years, Digital India has empowered the youth to harness innovation, reinforcing India’s position as a global technology powerhouse,” added Modi on X.

A thread of posts from a government handle and highlighted by the PM said India ensured transparency at scale through direct benefit transfer (DBT), noting that over Rs 44 lakh crore were credited to beneficiaries of over 322 schemes regulated by 56 ministries.
