Kerala orders Vigilance probe into 2006 PWD decisions involving Gyanesh Kumar

New Delhi, Oct 5 (UNI) Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has directed the state Vigilance Department to conduct a detailed inquiry into alleged irregularities and claims of external influence in decisions taken by the Public Works Department in 2006, when Gyanesh Kumar was serving as its secretary.
Chennithala said the Vigilance Director had been instructed to examine the allegations following the receipt of a complaint and the requisitioning of relevant records. He stressed that the inquiry would be evidence-based and that no individual would be presumed guilty before the facts were established.
“I have directed the Vigilance Director to conduct a detailed inquiry into the alleged irregularities and allegations of external influence involving the then Public Works Department secretary Gyanesh Kumar in 2006,” Chennithala said in a post on social media platform X.
