SRFTI condemns campus disturbance, vows to strengthen student safety

new Delhi, Oct 5 (UNI)The Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata, has condemned the disturbance reported near its main gate on October 4 and said it was taking steps to further strengthen security at the campus and along its perimeter.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the institute said a group of people from outside the campus had gathered near the main gate on Sunday and created disturbances, disrupting the security environment of the institute.
A formal complaint has been filed with the concerned authorities, the SRFTI said, adding that timely intervention by the police helped disperse the gathering.
