UK PM Starmer, Netherlands PM Schoof call up PM Modi to condemn Pahalgam terror attack

New Delhi, Apr 25 (UNI) More world leaders called up Prime Minister Narendra Modi to strongly condemn the Pahalgam terror attack and express their support for India. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Netherlands PM Dick Schoof spoke to PM Modi today.

On Thursday, PM Modi received phone calls from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, King Abdullah of Jordan, Japanese PM Shigeru Ishiba, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian PM Giorgia Meloni and Egyptian President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi, conveying their support for India over the Pahalgam terror attack.

US President Donald Trump called up PM Modi within hours of the attack to strongly condemn the terror incident in which 26 people were killed.

On the call by the UK PM, the MEA spokesperson said in a post on X:

“PM @Keir_Starmer of UK called PM @narendramodi and conveyed his sincere condolences on the innocent lives lost in the heinous terror attack on Indian soil.

“He strongly condemned the barbaric terror attack and expressed that UK stands with the people of India in this hour of tragedy.”

On the call from the Netherlands, the MEA spokesperson said that PM Dick Schoof condemned the cowardly act and rejected terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

“PM Dick Schoof of Netherlands @MinPres called PM @narendramodi and conveyed condolences on the tragic and inhuman cross border terror attack in Pahalgam, India.

“He strongly condemned the cowardly act and rejected terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

“PM Modi thanked PM for his words of support and solidarity and conveyed that India looks forward to closely working with Netherlands to strengthen the global fight against terrorism.”

The Netherlands PM in a post on X said:

“I just spoke with Prime Minister @narendramodi about the horrific terrorist attack that occurred earlier this week in Pahalgam, and extended my sympathy to the victims, their loved ones and the people of India.

“The Netherlands stands shoulder to shoulder with India in the fight against terrorism, now and in the future.”
