Haryana PWD Minister Ranbir Gangwa to attend national road infrastructure Chintan Shivir in Gujarat

Panchkula, Oct 2 (UNI) Haryana Public Works Minister Ranbir Gangwa will participate in a two-day National Chintan Shivir on road infrastructure at Ekta Nagar in Gujarat on October 5 and 6, with new construction technologies, road quality, maintenance, land acquisition and faster execution of projects expected to dominate the deliberations.
The national-level conference will be held under the leadership of union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and will bring together ministers and senior officials responsible for road infrastructure from various states.
Gangwa said the discussions would focus on adopting modern technologies in road construction, improving the quality and durability of roads and strengthening maintenance practices.
A delegation of senior officials from the Haryana Public Works Department will accompany the minister and present the state's experience while studying technologies and practices being implemented successfully in other parts of the country.
“Roads are directly connected with the daily commute of the common people. Our effort is to study new technologies and successful practices emerging from the Chintan Shivir and examine their suitability for implementation in Haryana,” Gangwa said.
Key issues likely to figure in the two-day deliberations include integrated infrastructure planning under PM Gati Shakti, inter-departmental coordination, land acquisition, utilisation of funds, model project agreements and road safety.
The conference will also deliberate on improving project monitoring, maintaining construction standards and ensuring that road projects are completed within stipulated timelines.
Gangwa said the exchange of experiences among states would help identify practical solutions to challenges faced during the planning, construction and maintenance of road infrastructure.
The Haryana PWD will examine the technologies and practices discussed at the conference for their possible adoption in the state, particularly those aimed at enhancing road durability, reducing maintenance requirements and expediting project execution.
The minister said strengthening road infrastructure was crucial for improving connectivity and supporting industrial and economic activity.
The two-day Chintan Shivir is expected to provide states with a platform to share implementation challenges and successful models while strengthening coordination with the Centre on road infrastructure development.UNI KK AAB
