The ASQ Awards for the year 2025 were announced by Airports Council International in February 2026. Subsequently, Lucknow International Airport received its Customer Experience Accreditation Level 3 in June 2026.
Representatives from ACI visited Lucknow, and the three awards for the 2025 assessment year were formally presented to the airport today, 05 November 2026, in Lucknow.
Lucknow airport officials here on Thursday said the recognition for Best Airport at Arrivals – Globally holds particular significance as it places Lucknow International Airport among the recognised airports worldwide for delivering an exceptional arrivals experience.
The recognition acknowledges the importance of the entire passenger journey, from the moment travellers disembark an aircraft to their movement through immigration, baggage collection and arrival facilities.
Similarly, the recognition in the 5–15 million passengers category for departures across Asia-Pacific reflects the airport's commitment to providing a seamless and comfortable experience to passengers before they begin their journey.
Together, these awards underline the airport's ability to deliver quality passenger experiences across two critical touchpoints of air travel – arrivals and departures.
The ACI Customer Experience Accreditation Level 3 further strengthens this achievement, recognising the airport's structured approach towards understanding passenger expectations, identifying areas for improvement and continuously enhancing service delivery.
These recognitions are a testament to the sustained efforts of the Lucknow International Airport team and its various stakeholders, including airline partners, security agencies, government departments, ground handling teams, concessionaires and other service partners.
Delivering a consistently positive passenger experience at a busy airport requires close coordination among multiple stakeholders and a shared commitment towards service excellence.
Over the years, the airport team has remained focused on strengthening passenger-centric operations through continuous monitoring of service standards, improving passenger facilitation across terminal touchpoints, ensuring efficient coordination among operational teams, addressing passenger feedback and grievances, and identifying opportunities to make the overall airport experience more seamless and convenient.
Particular emphasis has been placed on maintaining service consistency during peak passenger movement, facilitating smooth arrivals and departures, improving the overall terminal experience and fostering a culture where passenger convenience remains central to operational decision-making.
The team's commitment to continuous improvement, proactive problem-solving and collaboration with stakeholders has played an important role in achieving these international recognitions.
The awards are not merely a reflection of infrastructure or facilities but also recognise the people, processes and collective efforts that come together every day to make the passenger journey comfortable, efficient and memorable.
Adding to the celebrations, the happiness at Lucknow International Airport has doubled with the commencement of flyadeal's direct international flight operations connecting Lucknow with Madina.
The launch marks another significant milestone in strengthening Lucknow's international air connectivity, offering passengers greater travel options and further enhancing the city's connection with global destinations.
Together, these achievements mark a memorable day for Lucknow International Airport, celebrating both international recognition for its passenger experience and the expansion of its global connectivity.
Lucknow International Airport remains committed to delivering seamless, comfortable and world-class experiences for passengers, continuously raising service standards and strengthening its position as a leading passenger-centric aviation gateway in India and beyond.
