Chandigarh, April 21 (UNI) The Border Security Force (BSF) recovered three Pakistani drones and 1.57 kg
of heroin in multiple operations across Amritsar, Tarn Taran, and Ferozepur. An Indian narco-smuggler was also apprehended, said BSF spokesperson on Monday.
He said that a joint BSF-Punjab Police operation worked on a specific intelligence in village Habibwala, Ferozepur, which led to the recovery of 1.029 kg heroin. A local smuggler, linked to a Pakistan-based handler, was also apprehended.
The BSF spokesperson also said that in continued action against narco-drones, vigilant BSF recovered three DJI Mavic-3 Classic drones from fields near Rajatal, Amritsar; Gatti Rajoke, Ferozepur and Daoke Amritsar respectively, along with 545 gm of heroin near Dal village in Tarn Taran district.
He said the all drones are believed to have crashed due to electronic counter measures deployed along the border.
