Haryana: 31 adults, 8 children traced in Sept, reunited with families

Palwal, Oct 8 (UNI) Palwal Police traced 39 missing persons, including eight children, during September and reunited them with their families following a district-wide search operation, officials said on Thursday.
The operation, conducted under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Deepti Garg, involved special teams tasked with tracking missing children and adults through technical investigations and regular scrutiny of complaints registered at police stations and on official portals.
A police official said the district's Missing Persons Cell located 31 adults and eight children during the month and handed them over safely to their families.
The teams examined pending missing-person complaints, followed up on available leads, and used technical assistance to establish the whereabouts of those reported missing, the official said.
Missing Persons Cell in-charge Rakesh said the priority was to ensure that every missing person was traced and reunited with their family.
"Our team's primary objective is to bring every missing person safely back to their family," he said, adding that search operations would continue under the direction of the district police chief.
SP Garg urged residents to report missing children or adults immediately to the nearest police station or through the emergency helpline 112 to enable prompt action.
Police did not disclose how long the recovered persons had been missing or provide a breakdown of the cases by police station.
