Etawah (UP), Apr 29 (UNI) A 21-year-old youth was shot dead by the father of a girl allegedly after he went to meet her girlfriend in the Chaubia area of Etawah district here in Uttar Pradesh, a senior police officer said here on Tuesday.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sanjay Kumar said that Luv Kush Pal (21), who had come to his house to visit relatives, was shot dead by Anil Yadav in Kheda Helu village under Chaubia police station late on Monday night.
"Luv Kush had climbed Anil Yadav's wall to the first floor. It seems that the deceased had climbed the roof to meet Anil's minor daughter. While climbing, Anil shot Luv Kush in the waist from behind, killing him on the spot," he said.
Police sources said that Luv Kush, a resident of Kamalpur village in the Dibiyapur area of Auraiya district, used to visit his brother-in-law Rajesh Pal's house. "He came on Monday evening as well and left the house at around 7:45 pm," they said.
Police sources said that at around 10:45 pm, a gunshot was heard from Anil's house, after which the villagers reached the spot and found Luv Kush's body lying on the ground soaked in blood. "Anil was holding an illicit weapon in his hand," they said.
Police sources said that it has come to light that Luv Kush had been meeting Anil's daughter, who was known to the accused as well as other people in the village.
"As soon as Chaubia police got information about the murder, station in-charge Vipin Malik reached the spot with police force and arrested Anil Yadav," they said.
