Fraudster arrested for posing as CM's 'Vyavastha Adhikari'

Shahjahanpur (UP), Apr 28 (UNI) A fraudster was arrested by the police from Sadar Bazar area of Shahjahanpur district here in Uttar Pradesh on Monday allegedly for calling top police and administration officials posing as the 'Vyavastha Adhikari' of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a senior police officer said here.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajesh Dwivedi said that Sadar Bazar police arrested Rahul Bhartiya (34), a YouTuber from Fatehgarh district, from under the railway bridge near the PWD office. "On April 27, Rahul called on his CUG number and introduced himself as CM Yogi's Vyavastha Adhikari and ordered the immediate release of an accused," he said.
He said that after this he became suspicious about the person. "When he investigated the matter on the basis of the phone number, the police arrested fraudster Rahul through surveillance. During interrogation, it was found that the arrested accused is a YouTuber," he said.
The SP said that the accused revealed that while working in the media, he learned how to talk to officials. "After which he called the SPs and District Magistrates of different districts several times to get work done from them and extorted money from the victims for this," he said.
He said that the police have recovered visiting cards and press cards in the name of Manoj Mishra from the arrested fraudster. "The mobile number of the arrested accused also had the words Mukhyamantri Vyavastha Adhikari written on it on Truecaller. The police have sent the arrested accused to jail," he said.
