Radiance of 30 lakh diyas to illuminate all 56 ghats of Ram Ki Paidi during 10th Deepotsav

Ayodhya, Nov 4 (UNI) Preparations are in full swing to make the 10th edition of Deepotsav-2026 in the holy city of Lord Ram a grand and historic celebration. This year, organisers have set a target of lighting a record 30 lakh diyas across all 56 ghats of Ram Ki Paidi.
To achieve this target within the stipulated time, many volunteers from the university campus reached Ram Ki Paidi by bus. Upon reaching the venue, students took charge of their assigned ghats and began arranging the diyas with full energy, dedication and discipline.

To make the 10th Deepotsav memorable, students from affiliated colleges and local intermediate colleges, along with those from the university campus, have also been engaged as volunteers. Responsibilities have been assigned by ghat and location to arrange rows of diyas across all 56 ghats. Reserved buses have been arranged to facilitate the smooth transportation of volunteers from the university campus.
Students have shown considerable enthusiasm at the ghats of Ram Ki Paidi since morning. Under the guidance of ghat coordinators and in-charges, volunteers are systematically arranging the diyas in designated blocks and rows. The objective is to ensure that pouring oil, placing wicks, and lighting the diyas are carried out smoothly on the day of the main event. All volunteers have been instructed to work only at their respective designated ghats.
Under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Dr. Vijendra Singh, senior university officials are regularly visiting the ghats to monitor preparation progress. Special attention is being paid to arranging the diyas systematically in accordance with the prescribed target and ensuring better coordination among volunteers. University students' participation is accelerating preparations for the 10th Deepotsav.
