Haryana approves Rs 753-crore elevated flyover linking Greater Faridabad with NIT; tender on December 17

Palwal, Nov 3 (UNI) The Haryana government has approved a Rs 753-crore elevated flyover project to connect Greater Faridabad with NIT Faridabad, with the tender proposed to be issued on December 17, clearing the way for work to begin on the ground.
Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister and Tigaon MLA Rajesh Nagar thanked Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini for the approval, calling it a historic step for Faridabad's development and traffic management.
The proposed elevated corridor will run from Sainik Colony Chowk to Greater Faridabad and Amrita Hospital. It is expected to ease traffic pressure at Badkhal, Ankhir, Masjid Chowk, Pyali-Hardware and Bata Chowk. Flyovers and underpasses will also be built at various locations under the project. Besides improving links with the NIT area, it will make travel toward Gurugram smoother.
Nagar said he had raised the demand before the then Chief Minister Manohar Lal while serving as an MLA. His aim, he said, was to link the fast-growing Greater Faridabad directly with the older parts of the city and major routes, sparing residents traffic jams and long detours.
He said the project would make commuting easier for lakhs of people and give fresh momentum to industrial, commercial and urban development in the coming years. "Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is continuously working for holistic development across Haryana, including Faridabad," he added, thanking the CM and the state government for the decision.
