Ludhiana, June 23 (UNI) In a tough multi-corner contest, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party candidate was leading from Ludhiana West assembly constituency by a thin margin of 6,022 votes.
AAP's Sanjeev Arora polled 24,884 votes and his nearest rival Bharat Bhushan Ashu of Congress could muster 18,862 votes. BJP's Jiwan Gupta and SAD's Parupkar Singh Ghuman stood third and fourth with 15,081 and 5,234 votes respectively.
Counting for bypolls, held on June 19, began at 8am and AAP candidate Sanjeev Arora took the lead from the very first round.
