Himachal: CM inaugurates anti-drug cricket match in Dehra

Dharamshala, June 4 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday
inaugurated a cricket match in Dehra of Kangra district to create awareness about the drugs menace.
The match was organized as part of the “Kanoon Vidyalaya” awareness campaign launched by the District Police Dehra.
The Chief Minister also showcased his batting skills.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister emphasized the role of sports in promoting a spirit of sportsmanship and discipline amongst the youth. He said that such initiatives not only encourage physical fitness but also serve as effective platforms for raising awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse.
He further said that the match aims to deliver a strong message to the younger generation about leading a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.
Superintendent of Police, Dehra, Mayank Chaudhary, said that the Dehra Police would continue to take forward this initiative in the future.
