J&K: NIA conducts searches in terror conspiracy case

Srinagar, June 5 (UNI) The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday raided multiple places in Kashmir in an alleged terror conspiracy case, officials said.
The raids targeted overground workers (OGWs) affiliated with various proscribed terrorist organisations.
"Searches are being conducted in RC- 05/2022/NIA/JMU. (terror conspiracy case) against OGWs of various terrorist organisations, " an official statement by NIA said.
Officials said the sleuths of the central agency, assisted by the teams of Jammu and Kashmir Police and paramilitary forces, raided several places based on the First Information Report (FIR) registered by the NIA in 2022.
The case relates to the conspiracy hatched by terrorist organisations to unleash violent terrorist attacks in J&K with sticky bombs, IEDs and small arms, etc., as part of the Pakistan-backed terror groups’ conspiracy to carry out acts of terror and violence in J&K.
It involves radicalisation of local youth and mobilisation of overground workers of newly floated terrorist groups, such as The Resistance Front (TRF), United Liberation Front Jammu & Kashmir (ULFJ&K), Mujahideen Gazwat-ul-Hind (MGH), Jammu & Kashmir Freedom Fighters (JKFF), Kashmir Tigers, PAAF and others.
These outfits are affiliated to proscribed terrorist outfits like Laskhar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM), Al-Badr, Al-Qaeda, etc.

Chandigarh, June 14 (UNI) Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij launched a strong attack on the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab and questioned “Who is holding back our SYL (Sutlej-Yamuna Link) water? The Supreme Court has already given an order to provide water to Haryana, but who is stopping it and who is stealing the water? Our fields are thirsty, while all the water flows away into Pakistan.”
