Saini targets Congress over corruption, jobs, law and order

Panchkula, Oct 11 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday launched a sharp political attack on the Congress, accusing it of corruption, favouritism in government recruitment and poor law and order during its tenure, while asserting that his government had established a transparent, merit-based hiring system.
“During Congress rule, if you searched on Google for corruption, the party’s name would come up prominently,” Saini said, alleging that newspaper reports would appear even before appointments were made, indicating which minister’s son was likely to get a government job.
Referring to the recently declared Haryana Civil Services (HCS) examination results, the Chief Minister claimed that no successful candidate could say that they had needed the recommendation of a minister, MLA or middleman to secure a job. He said recruitment was now based on merit rather than political influence.
