Punjab Police busts cross-border drugs-arms module; 5 kg ICE, three foreign pistols seized

Chandigarh, Sep 9 (UNI) Punjab Police have arrested two men and recovered five kg of ICE, or crystal methamphetamine, and three foreign-made pistols after Counter Intelligence Amritsar busted what police described as a cross-border drugs and weapons smuggling module.
The operation has opened an investigation into the overseas handlers and local contacts suspected of running the supply chain. Police believe the arrested men were receiving consignments of narcotics and weapons and passing them on to other members of the network.
Calling it a significant recovery, a Punjab Police spokesperson said the two suspects were allegedly operating in coordination with smugglers based abroad.
