Amarnath Yara: Over 3.5L pilgrims registered online, Jammu based Yatri Niwas to get facelift

Jammu, May 16 (UNI) As the tension between India and Pakistan is normalising gradually and the shelling on the borders has stopped, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has geared up to welcome the pilgrims for this year’s Shri Amarnath Yatra starting from July 3 and ending on August 9.
More than 3.5 lakh devotees from across the country have registered themselves online for the yatra.
However, the Yatri Niwas with a capacity to accommodate 2000 pilgrims will get a facelift and be ready for the yatries by mid of June.

Chandigarh, May 22 (UNI) In a major crackdown on the narco-hawala nexus, the Ferozepur Police busted a drug smuggling module, with suspected Pakistani links, following the arrest of three persons and recovered 12.07 kg heroin worth Rs 90 crore and Rs 25.12 lakhs in drug and hawala money, said DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav here on Thursday.
