HP Patwari-Kanungo strike ends after assurance from Revenue Minister

Shimla, Mar 12 (UNI) The 12-day-long strike of Patwaris and Kanungos in Himachal Pradesh has finally come to an end after successful negotiations with the state government.
The Revenue Minister, Jagat Singh Negi, held a crucial meeting with the Patwari-Kanungo Sangh at the Shimla Assembly on Wednesday, where the concerns of the striking employees were addressed.
The primary issue that led to the strike was the implementation of the state cadre system and its potential impact on promotions. Many Patwaris and Kanungos feared that this change would hinder their career progression. However, after extensive discussions, Minister Jagat Singh Negi assured them that their promotions would remain unaffected by the new rules.
