Ahead of Diwali, UPSTDC launches One-Day Tour Package for 14 Kosi Parikrama Yatra

Lucknow, Oct 30 (UNI) As Ayodhya prepares for Diwali, Uttar Pradesh Tourism is bringing devotees and visitors closer to the city’s spiritual heritage with a new one-day tour package, ‘Ayodhya Divine Heritage Trail’.
Launched by the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (UPSTDC), the package offers a guided journey through prominent temples, ghats and other important places associated with the 14 Kosi Parikrama.
The journey will begin from November 1, with two daily batches: the first from 10 am to 4 pm and the second from 1 pm to 7 pm.
Highlighting the significance of the initiative, Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said, “The 14 Kosi Parikrama holds deep significance in Ayodhya’s religious traditions, as devotees undertake this journey as an expression of faith and devotion.
He also added, "Under the leadership of CM Yogi, through initiatives such as the Ayodhya Divine Heritage Trail, we aim to make this spiritual experience more accessible while strengthening Ayodhya’s place on the Ramayana Circuit.”
Beginning at Lata Mangeshkar Chowk, the tour will take visitors to the Ramayan Wax Museum, where wax figures inspired by Lord Shri Ram, Goddess Sita and other characters from the Ramayana bring the epic’s stories to life.
The journey will then continue to Surya Kund and Girija Kund, followed by Panchmukhi Mahadev Temple. Visitors will proceed to Guptar Ghat and Jhunki Ghat, before exploring Lakshman Kila and Sheshavatar Temple. The trail will also cover Swargdwar, Ram Ki Paidi and Nageshwarnath Temple, offering visitors an opportunity to experience the city’s diverse spiritual landmarks along the route.
The tour will conclude with the Sarayu Aarti, a devotional ceremony performed on the banks of the Sarayu River with lamps, prayers and devotional chants. From there, visitors will return to Lata Mangeshkar Chowk, completing the day’s journey through Ayodhya.
The package includes all transfers and transportation by AC vehicle, along with a local tour guide or coordinator who will share insights and stories about the places covered during the journey. Hotel accommodation and meals are not included. Interested visitors can book the package through the official UPSTDC website, upstdc.co.in, or contact 8130966118 for further details and reservations.
UPSTDC Chairman Amrit Abhijat said, “The Ayodhya Divine Heritage Trail is designed to offer a convenient and guided way to explore the city’s important religious landmarks in a single day. It will also be especially helpful for senior citizens and specially abled who may find it difficult to undertake the yatra independently. Through such thoughtfully designed tourism experiences, we aim to make spiritual journeys more accessible and comfortable while encouraging visitors to discover Ayodhya’s rich cultural heritage.”
