AP DyCM Pawan Kalyan interacts with Ravivalasa villagers, grants Rs 15 cr for development works

Vijayawada, May 22 (UNI) In an innovative move, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Panchayat Raj K Pawan Kalyan interacted with the people of Ravivalasa village, in Srikakulam district, via video conference on the silver screen. He announced Rs 15 crore fund for the Ravivalasa panchayat, to carry out development works.
Pawan Kalyan held the ‘Mana Oorikosam Mata Manthi’ programme here on Thursday in which he interacted with the villagers of Ravivalasa village in Srikakulam district.
Interestingly, for the first time in such a programme, the villagers were taken to a cinema theatre in Tekkali town where they saw Pawan Kalyan on the silver screen in the video conference. In the live video conference, Pawan Kalyan interacted with the villagers and listened to their problems and gave assurances that they would be resolved.
“In the past, cinema theaters were only for entertainment. Now it is a pleasure to stand as a platform for social responsibility to resolve village problems. It was a great experience for me to speak to the people through the silver screen,” Pawan Kalyan complimented.
Speaking on the occasion, he said in a bid to ensure the villagers should not feel like "leaders do not pay attention to the villages and not provide basic amenities", he launched the programme.
“The aim of the ‘Mana Oorikosam Mana Mantha’ is to bring unity among villagers and make them discuss the development of the village. Sanctioning Rs 15 crore for the Ravivalasa village panchayat for development works is not a minor issue,” he noted.
He opined that villages flourish only if public awareness is spread along with the government's work.
Pawan Kalyan said: “It is not true that development will happen only if funds are given to villages. Any problem will be solved only if all the villagers move forward together. Those who were born and raised in villages and later went to a higher stage should definitely not forget their own village.”
