Telangana govt to resolve Section 22-A issues within one month: Ponguleti

Hyderabad, Sep 18 (UNI) Telangana Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Friday said the State government would resolve the 12 issues related to Section 22-A of the Registration Act within a maximum period of one month.
Making a statement in the Legislative Assembly, Mr Srinivas Reddy said a High-Level Committee had been constituted to address the issues following Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's detailed discussion on the matter in the House on September 16.
The committee comprises CCLA Commissioner D.S. Lokesh Kumar as Chairman, Law Secretary Papi Reddy and Inspector General of Stamps and Registration Rajiv Gandhi as members.
The Minister said the government had already initiated steps to provide relief to people affected by the Section 22-A restrictions. Referring to G.O. 118, he said 9,792 people had applied for regularisation of their plots.
He said Memo No. 46940 had been issued to address pending regularisation cases under G.O. 118 and Section 22-A. Title deeds would be distributed to eligible applicants in around 22-23 colonies in the LB Nagar area on Saturday, and the properties would subsequently be removed from the 22-A list.
Regarding the Singareni-related issue among the 12 identified concerns, Mr Srinivas Reddy said a meeting was held under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka with MLAs and public representatives from the Singareni region.
He said a Government Order resolving the issue relating to G.O. 76 would be issued on Saturday.
The Minister further said a GO providing relief in other pending registration matters involving permissions from GHMC, HMDA and other departments would be issued within the next few days.
