Three apprehended in Hyderabad sexual assault case

Hyderabad, Oct 27 (UNI) Kanchanbagh police have apprehended three persons in connection with a case involving alleged repeated sexual assaults, wrongful confinement and criminal intimidation of an 18-year-old woman.
According to police release on Tuesday, a case was registered under Sections 64(2)(m), 127(4) and 351 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), based on a complaint lodged by the woman on October 26.
As per the complaint, the woman came to Hyderabad in May 2026 with Mohammed Fayaz, who had allegedly promised to marry her. Following their reported marriage, they lived in a rented house at Hafeez Baba Nagar in the city.
The complainant alleged that Fayaz later brought three associates — Ahmad Mujeeb, Noor Kamal and Zia-ur-Rehman alias Ibrahim — to stay at the house. She further alleged that Fayaz would lock the house from outside while leaving and that his associates sexually assaulted her on different occasions and threatened her against disclosing the incidents.
On October 23, the house owner reportedly broke open the lock after arriving to collect pending rent and finding the house locked from outside. The woman subsequently contacted her family and moved to a relative’s residence in Royal Colony, Balapur, before approaching Kanchanbagh police.
Police said Noor Kamal, Ahmad Mujeeb and Zia-ur-Rehman alias Ibrahim had been apprehended and would be produced before a magistrate for judicial remand. Mohammed Fayaz is also named as an accused in the case.
Further investigation is under way.
