Most wanted chain snatcher with 94 cases arrested, NBW executed

Hyderabad, Jun 26 (UNI) In a major breakthrough, the Karkhana Police of Tirumulgherry Division, North Zone, Hyderabad City, successfully executed a Non-Bailable Warrant against a notorious and most wanted chain-snatching offender Babar alias Baquar Akram Ali in a snatching case of PS Karkhana, pending before the XI ACJM Court, Secunderabad.
The 32-years accused, a native of Bidar district in Karnataka and an optical seller by profession, was originally arrested in 2015 for a chain-snatching case under Karkhana PS limits, a police release said here on Thursday.
However, during trial proceedings, he absconded and remained elusive, prompting the issuance of a Non-Bailable Warrant by the Court.
The accused Babar is a habitual and notorious offender, involved in over 94 criminal cases spanning various police stations in Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda Commissionerates. These include high-footfall and high-crime areas such as Madhapur, SR Nagar, Kukatpally, Sultan Bazar, Saidabad, Amberpet, Jubilee Hills, Nampally, Chaderghat, Banjara Hills, Charminar, and several others.
Following dedicated monitoring efforts by the Court Monitoring Cell, North Zone, vital intelligence was developed revealing that the accused was lodged at District Prison, Adharwadi Jail, Kalyan, Maharashtra.
A specialized team led by J. Rajashaker, Detective Inspector of Police, Karkhana Polie station escorted the accused back to Hyderabad on Thursday under the supervision of V. Rama Krishna, Inspector of Police, and G. Ramesh, ACP Tirumulgherry Division, and in the guidance of P. Ashok, Additonal DCP, North Zone and Ms. S. Rashmi Perumal, DCP North Zone.
All respective Police Stations where NBWs are pending against the accused have been directed to initiate further legal action.
