Zeta opens Hyderabad skilling centre to boost youth employability

Hyderabad, Oct 12 (UNI) Banking technology company Zeta on Monday announced the inauguration of a skilling centre in Hyderabad to equip underprivileged youth with communication, digital and workplace skills, as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at improving employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
The centre, formally inaugurated recently, is being operated in partnership with Head Held High Foundation under Zeta CARES, the company’s CSR programme.
The initiative is being implemented across Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Mumbai, with Zeta funding curriculum development, training centre infrastructure and trainer fees, the company said in a release.
Each centre will run a three-month programme for two batches of 60 participants. Training has commenced in Hyderabad, while operations have also begun at the Bengaluru and Mumbai centres, whose formal inaugurations are planned for the coming months.
The programme is delivered through the foundation’s ‘Make India Capable’ initiative and focuses on functional skills, including spoken English, communication and confidence building; digital skills for everyday and workplace use; and professional skills such as teamwork and workplace conduct.
The initiative aims to address employability gaps among young people from underprivileged backgrounds by combining practical training with preparation for employment and entrepreneurship.

According to the India Skills Report 2026, overall employability in India stands at 56.35 per cent, highlighting the continuing gap between candidates’ skills and employer requirements.
Sivaram Kowta, President of Zeta India, said the initiative was designed to help young people develop the practical and soft skills needed to secure employment, build livelihoods or start businesses.
He said the partnership with Head Held High Foundation would extend these opportunities to youth across the three cities.
Pankaj Singh Thakur, CEO of Head Held High Foundation, said skilling should expand opportunities for young people regardless of their backgrounds and equip them to enter the workforce, pursue entrepreneurship and build independent livelihoods.
The programme falls under the Employability pillar of Zeta CARES, which covers Education, Employability, Entrepreneurship and Ecology.
The initiative builds on Zeta’s digital education efforts through Project Shiksha, under which the company established two computer laboratories in government schools in Bengaluru over the past two years.
The laboratories have provided more than 600 students with access to digital learning tools, structured computer education, coding and STEM exposure.
With the new centres, Zeta is extending its focus from school-level digital education to employment-oriented skills training for young adults.
