Revanth invites Osaka business leaders to invest in Telangana at World Expo 2025

Hyderabad, Apr 21 (UNI) In a major push to attract global investments, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy invited leading members of the Osaka Chambers of Commerce to explore the rich, untapped investment opportunities in Telangana.
Speaking at the World Expo 2025, the CM emphasised the state's dynamic growth strategy and its commitment to fostering global partnerships.
Addressing a gathering of prominent Osaka business leaders, CM Revanth Reddy said, “Konnichiwa. Namaskaram. I am delighted to be in Osaka, where tradition meets the future. Telangana is the first Indian state to participate in the World Expo, proudly representing India on this global platform.”
He highlighted Telangana’s readiness to partner with Japanese firms across diverse sectors such as the circular economy, urban infrastructure, riverfront development, software, AI, pharma, bulk drugs, tourism, textiles, agriculture, green power, and more.
“We offer policy stability, high ease of doing business, and world-class infrastructure. Many Japanese companies have already achieved success in Telangana. We welcome many more to design, manufacture, and export from Hyderabad — your launchpad to India and beyond,” he said.
Industries and IT Minister D Sridhar Babu also emphasized Telangana’s robust business ecosystem, pointing to Hyderabad as a global hub for IT, life sciences, aerospace, electronics, and defence.
“We are building India’s first Net Zero industrial city — the Future City — on 30,000 acres, focused on green energy, smart mobility, and the circular economy. In partnership with Japan’s Marubeni Corporation, a marquee industrial park is being developed,” he added.
He also detailed major infrastructure projects like the 370-km Regional Ring Road (RRR), Radial Roads, and the strategic industrial zones between the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and RRR, which are ideal for sectors like EVs, semiconductors, and energy storage. Plans for a dry port with road and rail links to nearby seaports were also presented to facilitate exports.

Drawing inspiration from Japan, he spoke of Telangana’s plans to transform the Musi River into a 55-km urban greenway, learning from the rejuvenation of rivers in Tokyo and Osaka.
Special Chief Secretary (Industries) Jayesh Ranjan presented Telangana’s vision for Young India Skills University, designed with values of quality, discipline, and lifelong learning — expected to drive future talent and business opportunities.
The Chief Minister said, “Telangana and Japan share a deep connection. Like the sun rising over Osaka Bay, a new chapter is rising in Telangana. Together, let us build something timeless — for Osaka, for Telangana, for the world.”
The TelanganaRising delegation, led by CM Revanth Reddy — the first Chief Minister from Telangana to visit Japan — also conducted one-on-one meetings with top Japanese conglomerates, marking a historic moment as the state became the first from India to participate in the World Expo 2025 and launch its own dedicated Telangana zone, an official statement said.
